I received an email from a friend of mine today that the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has created a report finnding that there is a relationship between socioeconomic status and health disparity. This is good news as another funding source for grants will now get involved!

I had a chance to see some of the clips from the unnatural causes program: very thought provoking. The key is going to be “what is our next step?”.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation report is titled, Overcoming Obstacles to Health, Stories, Facts and Findings, February 2008. The full 84 page report can be found on their website at http://www.rwjf.org. This report was written to their Commission to Build a Healthier America. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Commission to Build a Healthier America is a national, independent, non-partisan group of leaders that are trying to raise visibility of the many factors that influence health, examine innovative interventions that are making a real difference at the local level and in the private sector, and identify specific, feasible steps to improve Americans’ health.
You can visit their website, http://www.commissiononhealth.org. These will be helpful reources as we continue to dialogue after viewing the Unnatural Causes series.
